Exodus
Studies in Slavery & Redemption
Chapter 3 [part a]
New Light 3:
Slavery requires a SLAVEMASTER, and
freedom demands a REDEEMER!
The gospel (good news) is a study in contrasts:
We have had an introduction (without the later detail) to the slavemaster, the Pharaoh of Egypt, and we have seen how he embodied and reflected the character of his overlord and master, Satan:
Now, in this chapter, we will begin to see the character and person (yes, person) who will become the Redeemer of Israel, one who will reveal himself through the agency of Moses, not because He is limited or finite, but because He does not want the destruction of His people, but their active participation in the course of their redemption and enjoyment of their freedom.
Let me repeat that...
Yahweh wants their (and your) active participation in the course of their (and your) redemption and enjoyment of their (and your) freedom.
